Matt Lanter
Matt Lanter is currently shaking things up as bad boy Liam Court on The CW’s “90210.”
In addition to “90210,” Lanter continues his work on the Cartoon Network series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” as the voice of Anakin Skywalker, a role he also played in the feature film of the same name. Lanter will soon be seen in the horror film “Sorority Row” and the psychological thriller “The Roommate.”
Born in northeastern Ohio, Lanter moved with his family to Atlanta, Georgia, when he was 8 years old. In Atlanta, he spent much of his time playing baseball, football and golf. His love for baseball led him to a position as a batboy with the Atlanta Braves and later, while studying at the University of Georgia, Lanter developed an interest in the film and television industry.
After briefly working as a model, Lanter moved to Los Angeles and landed guest starring roles on shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “CSI,” “Life,” “Big Love” and “Monk.” Lanter’s first series regular role was in “Commander in Chief,” opposite Geena Davis, and he had recurring roles in “Heroes” and “Shark.”
Lanter made his stage debut opposite Laurence Fishburne in Alfred Uhry’s “Without Walls” at the Mark Taper Forum. Other film credits include “Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius,” starring Jim Caviezel, “Disaster Movie,” “War Games 2: The Dead Code” and “The Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream.”
Lanter, who was born April 1, 1983, supports the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and participated in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon, where he was part of the “Commander in Chief” celebrity relay team.
Lanter currently resides in Los Angeles.
